380 HARDTOP PREPARATION

when checking my VIN number, this is listed in the options. Is this the mounting kit for hardtop?

if so, anyone got any pictures of what I'm looking for to check it is still in place.

Seems likely, but as to whether or not it's still fitted would require a quick visual inspection. Every chance it's been removed and sold on with the original hard top if it did have one.

Google BMW Z3 Hardtop and you will get to grips with what is required and where the brackets and screws should be located. Below is a photo of parts of a hardtop fitting kit, excluding the wiring for the heated rear window of the Top.

@smiffy, these mount right behind the B pillars you should be able to take off the upper cover and see if they are there. JIM

hardtop wasn't on the list, just the prep kit. Will drop the top this weekend and have a look.

there was a Montreal hardtop for sale a while ago, I didn't bother bidding as it didn't have the mounting kit! Doh!

@smiffy, while looking for my two HT's I found very few come with a fitting kit! Most sellers sell them separately for big bucks! JIM
