I know some of you will be really shocked to learn that having purchased #32, #31 is now up for sale.
I will be taking off the private reg and putting it on Autotrader in the next week or so but as usual I thought I would offer it up to the forum first.
Produced on 25th November 2009 this Alpine White 23i was registered to its 1st owner on 1st December 2009.
She kept the car for 12 years doing 55,000 before trading it in for an Alpine White G29.
The second owner acquired the car from the same garage on the 21st September 2021 for use as a company vehicle and put just under 52,000 on it in 4 years before I purchased it on 12th September 2025.
The car was supplied by BMW with the following options – Kansas Black leather heated interior and wind deflector.
The car was last serviced and MOT’d on the 27th August 2025 and passed with no advisories – prior to that I have invoices totalling £3,000 for the following maintenance / services:
12th August 2022 – Major Service 55,133 miles (GMS Ltd)
16th November 2022 – Diagnostic Check and replacement eccentric shaft sensor (Sytner Tring)
10th October 2023 – Major Service including fitting and coding new battery 83,461 miles (NMJ)
30th January 2024 – Diagnostic Check and replacement rocker cover and valvetronic gasket (NMJ)
16th September 2024 – Vanos recall and roof hydraulic line replacement (Sytner Tring)
During my ownership I have carried out several cosmetic enhancements which included a professional refurbishment of the style 290 wheels by RS Alloys in Sheffield and fitted new Salmon Relays which were supplied by Sytner BMW in Sheffield.
The bodywork and internal leather are in great condition and the car has no warning lights or fault codes. The all-important battery compartment shows no signs of water ingress, and the roof motor foam is totally dry. I have also removed and refitted the rear brake lights to ensure the rubber grommets are fitted correctly and can confirm both units have been replaced in the past by genuine BMW part and show no signs of water ingress of missing LED’s.
I haven’t taken any proper for sale photos yet due to the weather but there are some on my ownership log https://zroadster.org/threads/alpine-white-23i-31.76095/post-943601 and I have included some I took this morning after the rain stopped.
For anyone wanting to view the car is based in Sheffield.
