Car ramps or axle stands?

I need to get under the back of the Z3 to work around the inner sill etc and I was wondering is it better to go with car ramps or axle stands to get it in the air?

Finally got the outer sill off and need to start prepping to get the hole welded up!

Ramps for the sills as it'll give you unrestricted access to 100% of the sills.

I use a pair of trolley jacks to lift both sides at once, and then let the car down so that the cente of the rear cross member sits on some concrete blocks with a piece of wood on top toprotect the paint.
