Electric Fan

Afternoon
For the first time since owning the vehicle I have functioning a/c.

If the a/c button is selected the electric engine fan runs when the ignition is on and stops 15 seconds after starting the engine.

If a/c is not selected the electric engine fan doesn’t start.

Is this normal?

That is normal, it will also run if the temp gets too high.

When weather cooler quite often the air con fans wont run with aircon switched on.
