Hi all
Need a little advice, put my engine back (replacement )etc etc went to start it and the fuel rail squirted out petrol. I thought I’d put it back together properly but obviously not. Could it simply be I haven’t got the injectors sitting properly? Or have I forgotten something?
Thanks in advance.

The fuel rail has high pressure fuel at the fuel rail feed, at the return and at the injectors when the engine isn't running. Check the seals and "O-rings" at those places first. Chances are you didn't put an O-ring or a seal back at one of those locations.

The injector set up is similar to he 4 cylinder. Injectors are held into the manifold with a clip and the top of the injector has an O ring on it. Could be a hard o ring or cut it. You can get new ones easy enough.

And when you replace them make sure you lubricate them before refitting the rail.

Tony.
