3 litre Z3 pretending to be Italian exotica. Two previous E89 Z4s.
Tanya batteries online. www.tanya.co.uk.
Great prices, very fast delivery. I bought a Yuasa recently for my Z3 (after my bodyshop killing the old one!). I think it was around £80 delivered.

Just go to your local motor factor as I did a few years ago and they put my reg no in computer then I got identical Bosch S-4007 battery as the 10 year old battery I’d taken off the car and at the time it was at least 30 to 40 quid cheaper than Halfords & Eurocarparts equivalent battery. When I looked at service history it was even £10 cheaper than previous owner had paid all that long time ago for that same battery.

Thanks I have a very good local garage who will see what is around, a Varter has been suggested

Varta, Bosch, Exide and Yuasa are all good. Personally I am using a Bosch on my Jag and Exide on the Z3. Both cars are located in North German and both have been subject to sub zero temps for a few weeks. The Z3 hadn’t benn started for 5 weeks plus and fired up no problem. Go for a good branded battery

I put a Bosch on my 2.2 last year. It replaced an exact same battery which had lasted 9 years:thumbsup:

Had a Bosch 5008 and now a Varta on my 3.0l. I would also recommend Tanya.co.uk or battery warehouse..either way if buying online search for discount codes first

Over the nearly 28 years of my ownership of my Z3 2.8 I have used the Bosch S04 battery from varicose suppliers based on the length of warranty offered.

Mostly a 5 year guarantee from Costco and Euro Car Parts. The only reason for changing suppliers on last occasion was due to the warranty running out whilst the Z was not in use and life took over. Have a local ECP so convenient to pop in.

Whilst some will say to keep a battery master type device on the battery, that fails when someone drives over it when manoeuvring the car and doesn't let on.

Tayna, while often lower price, don't always provide a 5 year guarantee, and often require you return the battery to them at your cost. This was also the same with leisure batteries over the last nearly 20 years of use in varicose vehicles from camper van, through caravan to motorhome.
