REPLACING TIRE CENTER CAPS

I had to replace the center caps on the tires because the BMW logos fell off them. Since I had all four wheels, I thought I'd get out the compressor and air gun to take off the bolts. I usually put them on by starting them by hand. If I'm using the impact wrench (air gun), I'll set it at the lowest setting and after starting the lug nuts by hand, use the impact wrench on its lowest setting, then finish tightening them by hand. I wanted to set up the compressor in the back of the house but the air line (50 feet) wouldn't reach the street. I don't want to work in the dirt or grass. So I brought it around the front of the house and set it up. I had used the compressor there before when I was putting on the roof of the house using a nail gun but it would blow the fuse. I have circuit breakers there now and its a 20 amp circuit. So I get everything set up, compressor, air gun, jack and some other tools and............

Since the caps are just plastic and go in from the front, I did it the easy way. Actually should have used a hammer and a screwdriver. It would have been even easier. Frankie

If you drill a 3mm hole in the centre and screw a self tapper well in then attach a pair of Mole (other brands are available:)) grips to the screw head you can pull the caps off.
