Been waiting for a dry day to put the soft top down and get the HT back on. Thought I'd do it quick tonight after work, put the soft top down only for it to smash.
Forgot about the temperature :(
Was obviously too cold. Well anyway it's done and HT is on till its at least 15degrees haha.

Anyone got a link to a cheap one?
I guess they're about £80?

Hey Davy, was your soft top 100% dry before you put the hardtop on?

As good as it will be in this weather, it's too cold. I'm gona put a heater in for a few hours tomorrow to get the moisture up and put a few bags out to absorb it all

I always put mine back on Septemberish, after a late warm autumn day to dry the soft top out.

Bugger! 5°c is the lowest they will take without popping. About £100 I believe.

Yeah I've learned the hard way.
I had the HT on a few month ago then took it off one sunny cold day, then it's been wet ever since ha.

What has smashed ? The top or the plastic rear window ?

I hate to say it but @hard top has a point. The windows are not easy to fit and you could get the lot for £300-350.

That's annoying! Seen variably quality on the eBay sourced ones recently. The last 2 we've fitted in the ZedShed have been OEM at just over £200.

Not strictly true, have the photos to prove it

The plastic window. Top to bottom :banghead:
That is because it didn't fold correctly. I have cracked one before like this. but now I ensure I have the window folding horizontally before I take it down further. Been down to 1 degrees and still folded OK.
If you look behind, and see it folding vertically first, then it will crack, I did this when it was still 12 degrees.
If mine starts folding vertically, I stop immediately, get out and put the fold horizontal, then carry on.

But now, even sitting in the driver's seat, I have mastered putting my arm beside the drivers roll hoop and pushing on the fabric at the side, pushing it outwards towards the side of the car which then puts the fold in the correct orientation

This is what I usually do. And did on this occasion, but my arm went straight through

I double hate to say it but you both have a point... not sure of anywhere in the northeast though. Ooo I could get a dark red

Only trouble is they are at least twice the price unless you travel South making a new window a better option :(
