I bought the kit for my 2000 2.0 Z3 from eBay a few years ago. Did you try there yet?

Tony.

That's the GM (General Motors) box with two sumps. BMW do a 'value line' kit with the filter and gasket for the main sump, part number 24152333822. The small sump gasket is 24111421599 but I don't think BMW supply it.

It depends what fluid it has in it. GM developed the Dexron oil used. Boxes with a green ID plate are sealed for life with synthetic fluid and Dexron III does the job nicely. Older ones with a black plate use Dexron II.

Dexron is cheap enough to drop and clean both sumps, replace the filter (use genuine only!), run it for 50 miles and do another oil change. Do it every year if you want.

Hi,
Thanks for this info. Does anyone know how much gearbox oil is used for a oil and filter change?

Also - I was checking with BMW and the Value Service Kit - part number 24152333822 is no longer available. Does anyone have a link for an aftermarket equivalent?

Thanks
