ABS module coding

Correct. I've just tested the old pump and it runs with 12vdc between the red and black wires. I also tested the continuity between the plug and where the wires join to the circuit board and there all fine.
Also tested the two pins either side of each solenoid valve and there reading between 4 and 7 ohms
Also the production date is October 1997 @Brian H

Has the car run ok since you removed the throttle body Daz? The reason I'm asking is that the slip control module will expect to see certain perimeters from the throttle in relation to the wheel speed sensors, I'm thinking the car is confused at this point.

Good work, I can see from the diagrams that the 9 valves are basically input 1 output 1, input 2 output 2 etc. There is also a separator valve on the circuit board.

Yes the car runs fine however it will be going for a remap at some point when I can drive it. Am I better off unplugging the asc connections and seeing if that makes any difference I think I read somewhere the asc can be disabled but the abs will still function?

I'm beginning to wonder if the pump was ever at fault as all seems to be good on there. An I pass current through the valves to see if they actually engage? I'll never know if it was a faulty cable as I changed them all when I did the pump, should've tested them then really.
Also did a bit of googling and found there's a separate module behind the glove box which controls the unit so you are right there.

I'm pretty sure that unplugging the asc will throw a code, but you could give it a try. Does the abs kick in at a certain speed or is it on all the time you are driving?

I only took it up the road a bit but yes it kicked in every time I touched the brakes. I also still can't understand why I can't get inpa to get info from the abs module as it's not changed so should still interact? I'll test all the wheel speed sensors and have another drive at the weekend see if goes any better. Thanks again

Managed to get this sorted today took out the rear abs sensors gave them a clean and seems to have sorted it. Will leave as it is for now but might look at removing the asc cable control gubbins at some point.

Hope that's sorted the problem then Daz. You got it tested yet?

Tony.
