Just looking through Autotrader at Zeds and came across one advertised as a 3.0 AC- Schnitzer. Obviously I've heard of the term but what exactly are you getting for you AC Schnitzer? Answers on a post card tar!

Lots of bolt on bits ! They are styling rather than performance i believe on the whole.
Have looked at a few z3's listed as ac and its normally exhaust /trim bumpers /splitters /pedals etc .
Did they build one ? Or did some one add bits and name it ?

There wasn't a specific ACS model, so as Ant says maybe some bolt on bits. Found the advert http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201512149451549

It does have the ACS roll hoops and I'm pretty sure the exhaust is ACS, even though it's not on straight. Can't tell if the wheels are legit or not. The badges look like they came from eBay - why so big? Again difficult to tell if the gear knob is real with the blurry pictures, guessing not along with the handbrake handle.

It is however a very nice looking 3.0 Z3, and that's getting rare enough these days!!

That is the one I spotted @GazHyde which is why I asked the question. So there is no such thing as an ACS BMW Z3. It's just a styling house then?

No such Z3's exist, not even an Alpina I am afraid. in the day Hamman and ACS offered styling and performance for the Z3 but unlike the M3 never offered a product with their name on.

You will also notice that the wheels on the car are incorrect as the rear should be deeper staggered items, I would suggest they are four fronts, nice looking car though in a nice specification, Actual ACS stuff commands a bit of wedge, but with so many copies about, you need to check...

I've bought some ACS parts for Trinity and some are original and some aftermarket. The pedals are identical to the originals and the shifter mechanics are completely different from stock, much beefier which I wanted because I do a lot of power shifting. Can't really comment on the front splitters as never seen an ACS set but look identical. They have a full catalogue of performance and styling as said but big bucks needed if you want anything. JIM

Can anyone tell me what is in the centre console in the armrest area ? It looks very nice whatever it is, have I seen this already ? Is it in every facelift 3.0 ???

It's not OEM, no Z3 of any spec had cup holders. Not seen it before, and no idea where it's from...

That's an OEM optional extra cup holder.
There are a few variations and available in the US still at price:

Scroll down and you'll see that cup holder and the other OEM options they are still selling.
This particular cupholder is considered the wort though as fiddly to use and easy to break according to US forums.

This car is actually not a bad price when you consider all the cosmetic bits are hard to buy now so very valuable and easy to remove and sell if desired.
I know the roll hoops sell for £600 upwards. The wheels if genuine probably fetch a high price too then there is the interior bits and tail pipe.
