hi can any one tell me were i will find a live wire of the ing, in the engine bay so my angle eyes come on when you turn the ing on

Hi Phil, I found an ignition fed fuse in the main fuse box on my 2000 Z3.I connected my DRL's to this fuse. I will take some photo's and post them tomorrow evening if that's soon enough for you?

Cheers, Tony.

So you want them as DRLs rather than off the side lights which is how I wired mine.

@t-tony has wired in some DRLs on his, so should be able to suggest a feed.

EDIT: Ninja'd by t-Tony while I was typing really slowly :)

i thought i might try it they may not be bright enough for day light,

TBH Phil my all chrome headlights have built in angel eyes but they're not very bright, which is why I decided to fit some proper DRL's.:)

cheers that would be good save me time hunting around just changed the side and bumper lights to a blue tint got rid of those yellow ones

I replaced my bumper light bulbs with the "cree" type of LED bulb. Main reason being is that they show to the side as well as the front and pulling out of the gate at work it shows to oncoming traffic. Again I will try to get some pic's of these bulbs.

woops we seem to be crossing over you are probably right they dont look that bright in the sun:( i probably should just turn the side lights on if it gets a bit dark;) things must be going well i am looking for jobs to do:rolleyes:

Me too Phil, always want my car to be one of a kind, hence Grumpy on the back panel.=))
Those cree lights are a tad expensive compared to ordinary led's but the difference is amazing. I bought 2 for my reversing lights last May in Florida and they were $10 a pair, brilliant reversing lights now.

You finally realised then.=))

And then the fighting started!!! Retreat to a neutral corner, now!!

Hi Phil here goes. Pictures showing wire enrty into relay/fuse box and connection for my DRL's. Also a couple to try to show what I meant re the "Cree" type led bulbs for brightness. I hope these help.
Cheers, Tony. 009.webp 007.webp 008.webp 009.webp 010.webp 012.webp 014.webp

Oh, Felt any good books lately?

Just watched, tonight, John Wilkinson, being interviewed on BBC on You Tube. The most humbling experience I will ever see. God let that man live as long as he can. He will be back in the night. Awesome.

Must be especially difficult on a lap top screen!! Have you tried the old safe cracker trick of sand papering your finger tips so they're more sensative. A 50 grit on a belt sander would likely be overkill though! JIM
