They put a small resonator before the silencer, but I think this will be coming off as I want more pops and crackles... The upgraded tips are up for grabs if any one is interested, they are stainless and bolt on to the exhaust.

Very nice, looks like your diff bush is knackered though.

I don't want to be negative nancy as well but is it just me or the box not welded to the tube all the way around?

=)) i would watch out, seems there are some folk who maybe want parts off your car=))

Tony your taking a grilling here haha
I think it looks great.
More importantly how does it sound

my diff bush prob looks the same, last mot the guy doing the test did say the suspension and bushes were what was to be expected on a car of this age - think this was code for its going to get expensive.

Looks about the same size as my Supersprint.
Did yours have 2 boxes as standard?
I'm trying to work out if I have just a back box and the cats on mine but need to get under yo be sure (also an early 2.8).

As for pops and bangs mines does it more when hot. When a cam sensor is on the way out our something else causing rough running it pops and and bangs plenty but when it's running properly it smoothes out quite a bit. I think removing the cats gives the TVR effect.

this isnt a bad idea actually, maybe we should all take these pics of our undercarriage and see what others can spot as potential areas of concern.

Any Proctology or General Surgeons on here then?

I'll set up a grilling thread for folk to post underside pictures haha. I'll go first when I jack it up later

Haha.... Haha =)) ok ok..... When the car was up on the ramps I checked the diff bush and it was fine, yes it looks a bit naff but it is 19 yr old though , it will be getting changed to ploy flex...

Hi thanks for the comment but the weld is all the way around on the tips to the back box, no missing weld anywhere....

Thanks Dave , it sounds louder than the old one but I think the small resonator will be coming off to try it like that, he will be removing that section and making it so I can refit at any time .

Looks about the same size as my Supersprint.

The exhaust that was put on was from the cat back , there was a small resonator on the original then the back box, so this is how he replaced the exhaust.... He said he could remove the small resonator if I wanted it louder... So I think it is going to have that removed this week, if it's too loud I will just put it back on as he will be making it so I can do it like that.
