Another box ticked

Noooooo might mean more expensive trips to the garage.
When Andy checked my flat battery issues he spotted my diff bush looked a little tatty
I have bought a diff poly bush but it's not been fitted yet as it means a trip to the garage again.
More expense.
Good idea for those who can fix there car but could be expensive for us non mechanical people.

It will take a while but after a few hundred miles the exhaust will get quieter and less boomy (is that even a word :o ) as the soot builds up, I was surprised to see that your 2.8 has a single pipe most of the way where mine was a twin and made mine twice as expensive as it needed to be also I guess i'd have saved quite a bit more weight by just having the one though the old exhaust was so heavy it took 2 people to take it off the car!

My pre facelift 2.8 has the same exhaust system as a 1.9. When I bought my car it had a boy racer exhaust that made long journeys impossible to bear.

I bought a cheap cat back system off Ebay, think it only cost £130. It's not loud but it does have a nice tone to it.

Looks great i had a two box system done i wouldn't want it any louder its just a nice balance for me

Mine has the 2 pipes coming from the engine then go in to the cat then into a small resonator, there was no splits or joins in the exhaust and it looked like a bigger back box to other 2.8 cars .. It also had the vacuum valve in the open position.. Don't get me wrong it sounds nice but I think it will sound better with the small resonator out.. But going to get it made with 2 flanges so if I want to put back on I can.

Hi, when Gaz and Lee changed the diff bush on my Z, the difference was very noticeable. Gear changes were much smoother and the lag in changing had disappeared.
