Hi - need some help on ETM interpretation and tests - can't see wood for trees at the moment.

Fault - Passenger door will not lock by remote or key from driver's door or boot. However, inserting key in passenger door will lock/unlock both doors and boot. One way traffic!

I know usual suspect is boot `loom of doom' but I inserted a new DIY section of loom (~18months ago) and all- worked Ok until now. Have checked continuity on inserted section and all seems ok.

Removed passenger door card today and revealed part of door loom (see pic) but unable to work out which is input signal wire and which is output. Also don't know what voltage I should be seeing. Any ideas please?
Cables to lock mechanisms.webp

Sounds like the door actuator has failed. Quite common. Mine went last year on the drivers side.

Thanks Mark - you`re probably right. I'm was trying to eliminate wiring fault first before buying one. Did you buy new or second-hand? Cheers Colin

Not only that, the same company sell water pumps with metal impeller and warranty.

The passenger door lock on my silver Zed was prone to all sorts of strange behaviour which traced back to the door actuator as Mark suggests. Checked my boot loom wiring and it looked fine from what I could see!

It's common for the actuator to work intermittently before complete failure.

Just followed your link - and yep they're good I bought my new Myle pump from them last year.

Euro car parts supplied mine last year at reasonable price.

Update
Wiring checked and appeared ok. New Meyle actuator from Motomec (ebay) - £52.95. Fitted and now working Ok. Thanks badman.
For those who haven't changed one it's fairly straightforward - biggest problem I had was getting rear window guide back in.
Good news was door internals were corrosion free :).

Glad you got it sorted ok. You could have gotten 2 from Euro's for that price tho, and they OEM spec.;)

Hi Tony, After your first comment I searched on euro parts and Carparts4less they were not coming up as available - I'm about to give the cat a kick - the furry one that is!

Got mine from Euro's in Lincoln mate. Got it at trade price I forgot to say but that's not too big a difference with then to be honest!
