The long life exhaust is a little too loud for the daily use of the 2.8, so the GF has said I should swap it. I love the note of it when your booting it, but at half 7 on the way to work in the morning it's not ideal for me.

So if anyone wants to swap for their standard one drop me a message.

It's a full system from the cat. So it's only the CAT that's not long life.

Thanks,

Connor.

o_O it's a roadster - you'll get used to it! Turn the radio up in the morning =))

Seriously you may be able to get Longlife to detune it.

My preferred radio station doesn't seem to work :banghead: but seriously.. A detune could be a good idea. I could also get the longlife cat whilst I'm at it... I'm sure they could make it quiet couldn't they?

Connor.

I wasn't aware that was an option but certainly worth looking into Connor.

An assumption on my part @Grumpy as you have a choice when they fit them but I don't know if they can retro them. @Connor - it may be worth checking with Jim which option he took when they fitted it.

You may well be right jonco, just not something I've heard of.

I've been thinking about changing the exhaust for some thing that sounds fruitier so if you do want to swap it for a standard one i may be interested, just fitted new chrome tail pipe trims as well.

Reviving the thread.

Still interested in swapping if anyone is interested. Although the option to just buy mine might be possible.

So if anyone is interested in buying or swapping let me know.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I just thought i'd say how good this exhaust of @Connor sounds
Hooning around country lanes it does sound fruity but as mentioned we have got some lengthy road trips in mind so after chatting about it with Sara we thought it best to leave it as standard.....but i was really tempted
If i had a Z4 for long trips i'd definitely have this exhaust on my Z3 :ymdevil:
And i must add that Connor is a sound young man,it was a pleasure meeting him
