asc light

changed rear shocks and springs all went well but when i got into the car the asc light would not go out, nothing was disconnected, cleaned the sensor but still the same, it failed its mot on a broken spring now i guess it would fail for the asc light on, have ordered a new sensor working on the idea all was well before i started the work so may be a wire as got pulled ?

It's a shame the ABS sensors don't get read by basic code readers, because that would have been my first suggestion.

I'm sure @t-tony can confirm the rules with lights staying on the dashboard when going in for an MOT.

When you cleaned the sensor did you take it out of the car? the bolt that holds the sensor in place is also used to ground the sensor.
