Event (autumn) Scottish run 2022 September 17th and 18th

@Stevo7682 we have taken the meal deal as well so will be eating there on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well.

@bertiejaffa Lee there are a few smaller petrol stations dotted around both days
Ullapool on the Sunday has the biggest one a Jet station the problem like you say is acquiring super unleaded .

An update on our itinerary we have booked a few of our stops on both days
Day 1.
The Midge bite cafe ,Achnasheen our first stop in the morning.
Our Lunch stop is booked at The Walled Gardens ,Applecross
Our first afternoon stop will be at Shieldaig we are winging it there for those who want something.
Our last stop is at Achnasheen is just a convenience break at the station carpark.

Day 2.
Our first stop will be at Ullapool we have not booked anything but there are a number of cafes etc.

Our lunch stop is at Gairloch the Myrtle Bank Hotel in Gairloch ( we should be more than welcome there as the owners husband is a petrolhead)

Our afternoon stop is not confirmed yet but should have that sorted that by the weekend our original venue had to cancel due to staffing issues ( hospitality up north still has a number of recruitment issues).

I've just looked at the first one and there are nearly 90 waypoints. Have I done something wrong?
Not at all Gary my route likes to do it's own route at times plus converting it onto different sat nav devices the way point stop the sat nav having any bright alternative route ideas.

Downloaded both routes easily enough for my Garmin

So I was just plotting my to and from the hotel route
On the Friday it will just be the direct boring route A/M77 ,M74 , M73 , M80 , A9.

But I think we will do the same as our recce weekend and take the scenic route back.
So down past Loch ness through Fort William to the Ballachulish bridge then a different way rather than follow a82 through Glencoe ( as awesome as it is ) it will be head towards Oban to the Connel bridge and stop at falls of lora hotel for some lunch ( like to pop in if up that way as its a hotel we have stayed at a number of times and held 2 Scottish runs at ) then down towards Arrochar but turning off to head to Dunoon to catch the ferry across then down the coast road via Largs and home

So I've decided also that this years run is the Ross and Cromarty run

As both days route pretty much run right through the region.

@Stevo7682 The route you are coming back (you will come past our house) is the route we will use coming up. We buy the ferry tickets in bulk so I will bring you a car and passenger tickets ( was down your way on Wednesday at Dobbies)

Some great roads there. Nice to see its up north and not just the central belt 😎

Fingers crossed…weather looking better now.
looking forward to seeing everyone

Steve - looking to join you one night for food - do we need to book?

Hi everyone some important updates concerning dinners ( those who will be at the hotel at dinner time on Friday night need to respond).

So can the guys who are there for dinner on Friday night look at the menu get back to me either on here or pm whatever suits you thanks this will be a great help.
HE SAID FRIDAY NIGHT SHOULD BE THE ONLY NIGHT PRE ORDER WOULD BE REQUIRED.
