At the end of the A819 we will turn right onto the A85 which we will follow until it meets the A82 we will turn right onto the A82 and then left ( a few hundred yards down the road) into our first stop at The Green Welly Stop in Tyndrum i have reserved parking area for us all on the Saturday morning we should get there for around 10.30 this will be approximately an hour stop.
Group 1 to leave around 11.30 turning right onto the A82 following the road through Bridge of Orchy and up over Rannoch Moor and through the Glencoe pass ( looking to have some photo ops on this part of the route) then just on the other side of Glencoe village we will get to our lunch stop at The Isle of Glencoe hotel an hour for lunch there as per pm thread.
After lunch around 2pm we will set off back on the A82 into Glencoe village then turning left onto the B863 which will take us around Loch Leven through Kinlochleven and back to the A82 at North Ballachulish then its over the Ballachulish bridge turning off onto the A828 we will follow the A828 along the shoreline of Loch Linnhe to our next stop at Castle Stalker cafe this stop will be around 45 mins max as they shut at 4pm.
From there its back on the A828 over Connel bridge onto the A85 which we will follow through Connel past falls of lora through Taynuilt then following Loch Awe back to the A819 junction at Kilchurn Castle where we will turn right and follow the morning route back down to Inveraray then on A83 back round Loch Fyne to Cairndow and the Hotel.
Hi Stephen looks great, do we have day 2 route yet please? Got the road atlas out ere, Kate

The 39 Steps in on Talking Pictures at 1650 this afternoon.

It is one of the best adverts for Scottish scenery ever. Lots of roads that we may be driving, and lots of places that have barely changed in sixty years.

We have got 2 walkie talkies that we use in the garden. We will have one and the other can be borrowed by someone else

Half an acre with a forest, so I will let you decide;);)

Thanks for this Steve - anyone with an iphone know how to get these into google maps or apple maps on IOS (as that's my nav!)

We're heading up half way, Thursday afternoon to a Guest house in a village called Hightae, just to break journey up. Looking to get to Cairndow late afternoon.

Heading up on the Friday, not that far, which is nice 👍

We are in Hightae near Dumfries tonight, lovely top down drive up in the sun ,175 mile's via Middleton on Tees, Alston, Brampton, gretna. See u all tomorrow 😁

I'm currently holed up in Carlisle for the night - will stop off in Glasgow to see a friend - should be at Cairndow mid afternoon.

If anyone knows a local car wash when I get there.... as it's REALLY riffy after travelling through the midlands murky weather today!
