Hi,
I want to fit a wind deflector on my Zed. There's no roll bars on the car, so I'm thinking of the mesh type but unsure of how they fit or how reliable they are without roll bars to support them.
I've scoured the net but can't find any. My Zed only has the two hole fitting points on the posts, so if any of you out there have any knowledge of this type, that would be great.

Hey ZTec, sorry I didn't get chance to reply to your message last night.

The mesh deflectors hang over the roll bars, so you need to buy the original metal grill type deflector which fits in to brackets behind the seats. There are 2 different widths so you need to measure the distance between your brackets before purchasing.

This is how they work, and there are usually loads on eBay at any one stage.

Or sometimes the roll hoops come up, and this particular one has the mesh deflector included. Price is inline with what you would expect if retrofitting the hoops.

The wind deflector fits quite snuggly in those locating holes. There are vertical steel tubes under the plastic trim that gives it good firm stability.

Mine is type 2 fits snugly between headrests and bars. Self supporting.

Just to throw a spanner in the works, there are two different types of 'Type 2' wind deflectors. One has pins 75cm apart and one has them 70cm, I think.

Ha Ha the plot thickens. I think I'll just get myself a big thick wooly hat..
But seriously, thanks for that.

That's what I think I may have been referring to earlier. I certainly knew you had to measure the distance for some reason! Good catch David

I believe the 70cm fit the chrome aftermarket hoops and the 75cm are for the factory bars which are both different sizes, JIM

I think it'll be this type as I don't want the bother and expense of fitting bars and changing the plastics behind the seats.

Mine is a 2000 model and having measured the distance between the pins, it is 70cm.

Sorry for delay in answering but we had unexpected guests tonight.
