Hi All.Can anyone advise what is the size of the brake bleed nipples on my 1998/99 2.8 Roadster please and where might be the best place to purchase new.
The rear ones will be what ever size you have to tap on to get a grip!. They only need to be "nipped" when you have finished bleeding. An 8mm one corroded away may need a 7mm tapping on. If you have any AF sockets in 1/4 drive a 9/32 sometimes get you going.
Hi thanks for that.Looks like I may have a bit of a problem ahead. It was the thread size and pitch I was interested to know as I am looking to replace them with stainless steel. From the above information they appear to be 7X1. Would be interested to know if anyone has replaced with stainless. There are a number on E-bay that fit the size.
My apologies, I thought that you were having problems removing them. I will probably have some to fit. S/steel ones are an unnecessary expense provided you don't over tighten them and keep them well greased.
Stainless Steel ones will also cold weld to the calliper so you will have the same problem as now over an extended period, just fit oem ones and as tony says keep them greased and covered
