Hi Folks, I overhauled my entire braking system recently, new discs, pads, pipes, flexi and solid along with a full caliper set rebuild - thought you might like to see some pics? I doesn't half stop well now! I found a great company that will match any colour in standard or caliper paint and put it an aerosol for you - overnight!

Hi Steve, yes the discs are Mtech with Brembo pads. I really wanted to change the back plates but it isn't an easy job so cleaned, Ku-rusted and painted them. N

Yeah, you have to tidy up the back plates while you're at it.

They seem to be a popular choice on here for disc upgrades,I went for black diamond when I did mine. Not as good as I expected untill @t-tony very kindly cast his expert eyes on them and fettled them, making them perform as they should :).
Cleaning up the calipers and prepping was a dusty, messy job but well worth the end result as you'll know ;).

These off my Z4 were no where near as horrible to clean as the ones were off my old Z3.

The Mtecs worked well for me, not got too many miles on them yet but so far so good! :-)

Very theraputic I think. I have some more bits to do as soon as I get a bit of time.:)

Strange how the "to do list" just seems to get longer and more expensive but its a lot of fun! Enjoy fitting the new kit Tony
