Hi to all!

Can it really be the case that nobody on earth stocks the replacement clear lenses for the indicator units on the 1998 Z3 headlights?

Does anyone know ANYWHERE I can get these from???

Thanks

I thought the headlight and indicators were a complete unit. Are they separate on the earlier models

Hi @billz I have read that they can be taken apart with a little heat and the amber lens swapped out. I just can't find the replacement lenses now!

@billz They are a complete unit but the lense can be removed or swapped for a clear one by opening the headlight up

I thought they were a complete unit. Did not realise he was stripping them down to fit new lenses

I think you can get them from some dude in Germany

No mate, I was having this discussion the other day, @Dino D suggested painting them.

I think I'll wait to find a cheap damaged unit from a facelift with clear lenses and remove the lense from the damaged unit.

You used to be able to get them from here. http://www.erwinmettlach.de/ do not know if he still does them. Might be worth an email to him

£75 for a pair!!! Ridiculous money for what they are.

just buy some facelift lights for £100

sell you pre facelift for £50

will be cheaper than buying lenses and easier than stripping your lights down

Thats the joys of buying something that's been specifically made. charge what you like if someone wants it they will pay the asking price

You don't actually need lens' just remove and use a chrome indicator bulb.

I used to know a guy in Italy who made the mold out of an amber pair and used it to make clear ones, but they eventually turned yellowish after a while.
