Okay.....dont know if anyone can help here. Maybe I am just paranoid. However just noticed recently that when lifting the clutch pedal and engaging the biting point in 1st and 2nd gears, the front end left hand side of the car lifts slightly. Any ideas ?
 
It would probably lift more on the right hand side if you weren't sitting in the drivers seat, it obviously does but is more noticable on the left as its lighter.

The Z3 sits down at the back when you let the clutch out (particularly if you are spirited with your getaway), which may give you the feeling it's lifting at the front. As Tony says the extra weight on the drivers side may well give the impression it's just one side though.
 
Look at pics or drag racers and you'll note in a lot of pics that the left front wheel is off the ground. It's the rotational twist of the engine through the frame. If you look at your engine revving in the engine compartment in neutral you'll see the top end twists to the right applying pressure to the front tire. In gear it also apply a it to the left rear which is why batteries in the trunk are always on the right side of the car as the weight helps stop the unloading of the right rear. Hope that makes sense, it's the power of rotation. JIM
