common upgrades...

Well I've done all of them nearly, except supercharger. Have a look at my showcase thread first, then we can see what else to add.

Nope, it's in the showcase section from the main menu bar...

Sorry Dave missed the above posts, wifi box blew up lunch time, new one on way from Sky in two days, so only phone available, I will start and compile a list of mods for the M44, parts, part numbers, where to buy etc.

It would be good if anyone is doing an M44 mod that I have not documented, if they can take pictures for the how to, I am also available by PM for advice or local on site support.

Looking at my M44, the obviously needed upgrade would be the driver.

There is not a lot really, other than ARB, Brakes and e30 Diff, all Z3 are the same, and only Z3 interior bits fit a Z3, so you could fit an //M mirror orca facelift console, everything else is after market.

The M44 does not have an LSD, you can buy an after market one or upgrade the internals but is expensive. The fitting of the E30 diff reduces the final drive ratio giving you really good acceleration, but affects the top speed and raises cruising speed rpm. Note it needs to be a small width diff, I will dig out the part numbers, been waiting for one to come up for years. The other alternative to get a similar effect without affecting cruise or top speed, is to fit a light weight single mass flywheel, I am doing this over the coming months.

Make sure you get the right ratio, quite a bit of info about it on the web. Iirc it is still not an LSD
