Got a replacement unit same part number, using the B800 reset tool I have come up with Table 38 table 02 codes 4 firing circuit, driver air bag and code Oc firing circuit head airbag, front left side. Had both seats out as most related problems with air bag light are related to this light,I tried all the connections and cleaned them, any one know where to go now. Not familiar with what these codes represent, cannot find a thread relating to these particular codes, any help would be appreciated.Z3 2 ltr 6 cylinder year 2000. I noticed when I took out passenger seat it had an extra connection (white terminal block) next to the yellow block tha t goes to the seat restraint which didn’t go any where, but not present on the drivers side.

I am tired of trying to make this work.

I wonder is the airbag system completely disabled if the light is on?
Would BMW risk killing the occupants because of a faulty sensor?

Is there a way to make this a system that just plain pops the bags if a collision happens?

The white block is the seat occupancy sensor for the passenger airbag.. it won’t be connected if you don’t have one

Yes system completely disabled if light is on

Stephen.

No different to the ABS system, if the light is on the system is off!

Tony.

Is the system disabled completely if the passenger seat belt sensor causes the light?

That is insane and a design flaw IMHO, I would much rather have a bag go off than not at all.
