What a difference, it's like a new car, it doesn't dive under braking or roll in the corners (not that it did much before) it doesn't under steer anymore (okay one of the front springs was broken - but I didn't know that until I took the strut off) and the ride isn't harsh either.

I found a place in Cheltenham, SCS rent a ramp, £50 for half a day, they even let me use their spring compressor and strut tools so it took about 2 mins to change each spring once the struts were out.

I'm a bit miffed that garages were quoting me a full days work to do the job when I'm not even a mechanic and I did it in half the time. But the car is awesome now.

A suspension refresh always makes a massive difference to the ride

Am thinking of buying, there doesn't look like a 30mm drop on the front when you look before and after, I can see the difference on the rear.

If you're looking straight after fitting and lowering the car to the ground you likely won't. You'll need to give it a drive to settle the suspension back down. Are these a new set with Eibach markings on them?

Tony.

You can adjust the rear height by changing the rear spring rubber pads for thinner ones than the ones which are fitted (upper and lower).
