emergency help

i need a doctor after today....1 new water pump fitted.. 1 old thermostat removed and then put back on...1 v belt removed and put back on..1 door card removed...1 new M wing mirror fitted...1 set of keys locked in the car...1 locksmith paid....1 sense of humor fell off and rolled under car (still there..i'll get it in the morning)

Glad you got it sorted :-bd
I will be carrying my plastic key in the wallet in future !

I locked my keys in a car a few years back.

Funny thing was my lasting memory of slamming the door just as I spotted them in the ignition, an action that I couldn't stop and that replayed in my mind in slow motion as I screamed.....ahhhhhhhhhhh...

Called a local guy out who relieved me of £30 (this was in 1987) and then let his 7 year old son loose with a piece of flattened steel down the side window.................which really wound me up and rubbed salt in the wound. =:)

i know iv seen this thread about new keys made....but how many keys are there from new..including alarm?

i had four keys in total with my 2.8.. two alarm fob keys one standard key and one plastic wallet key

Yes.
AFAIK four keys was the standard kit with most BMWs.
The non-fob key doesn't open lockable glove and cubby boxes so that your valuables may be secure when the valet parks your vehicle s:rolleyes

Talking of keys I have the one only so need to get a spare. It is the integrated one type with the three buttons. What is the best route to take. Do I have to go to a main agent?
