The light came on the other week and my nephew used the IPNA code reader and light went out after thatr but it has returned. The codes that came up as I understand it were 228, 227, 18 but at the time it was done it said error not present. Where should we start looking for the problem ? a hose ? if so which one is it likely to be rather than replacing the sensor. Advice/help greatly appreciated. (I a hose a location pic. whould be a great help. Geoff

Check both intake boots and if no splits try unplugging the MAF.
Codes are shown as “Mixture Deviation” 227 for Cyl. 1-3 and 228 cylinder 4-6

Hi Tony, had my local garage smoke test yesterday and no holes or cracks in those pipes. While it was in garage they replaced the fan belt as starting to show signs of age (like me) and gave it a good wax oil underside as had the sills done a couple of years ago when outers repaced. Deleted engine management light, took it for a good test run and no lights returned. If they do at some point is there a way of finding out which cylinder has the problem ? Thanks, Geoff
