Exhaust

i would have thought so, i brought one off ebay a couple of months ago, it was listed as a 1.9 and 2.8, though dont take this as gospel as this was ebay and we all know what ebay can be like. Mine is a 1.9 and £38 for a back box was the bargain of the century, to be honest i wasnt expecting much but hey its actually really good for the money. For me the only down side was after i fitted it i then refitted it thinking it was leaking due to the growl it has compared to the oem box ( i thought it was leaking at the joint, but wasn't), some people like it, its growing on me now. but for value it cant be beaten. (from Germany so there is also about £10 postage too)
 
Yes I thought that they might not be the same, the second hand one that I have seen is a S/S Universal one but cant find the pic. that showed the makers name, its double what you paid ie £75 and collect from Kent. May be not such a barging ?, I don't need to replace mine just don't like the black metal tail pipe that is on it at present and it just sounds like a std. car, I like the loud exhaust sound that my TR gives and would like the Z to be some thing similar.
 
For got to say that it is a private add and the chap has sold his car

if thats the sound you want then get one like mine, sounds just like it.
 
umm maybe next time i need one i will ask spurs fan first=)) the ss loud one could be the one your looking for:thumbsup:
 
I bought a "cheap" Ebay exhaust from Poland, and it's gone through 2 MOT's. I'm very happy with it. It was advertised as a 1.9 / 2.8

most likely the same as mine as that too was advertised the same, does yours have a deeper sound?
 

mine was to replace a loud boy racer exhaust that was on my car when I bought it. The cheaper exhaust sounds OK to me. It's not loud at all, but it gives a nice "brumble" sound.

I'm happy with mine

Hi SFinC
How much is the loud one I have been looking for a S/S or chrome tail tip but BMW have stopped making them and as yet have not seen any. Will have to get under my car and see if my black tip is part of the back box or separate.

Dave I contacted them a few weeks ago and they said it has been discontinued.
