Good job there ;)

Looks a million times better!

Must say your front shock looks a bit rusty :bag:

That's a great price Stevie. I'm about to order discs & pads all round along with the rear hand brake shoes. Normally go with Pagid, but may have to investigate those!

I found some drilled and grooved discs on eBay at the weekend for only £54.99 inc free p&p. quite a good buy I thought.:)

If your parking brake shoe expanders are not ok Gary, I still have a pair surplus to requirements.

Did not even remove them from the car ....

Or should i say did not remove the brake hose and sensor cable from the car..:wacky:

Cheers, will let you know :)

Very small tin of Elbow Grease Stevie:ymdevil:.=))

The last time I got calipers, they were semi-loaded. That is to say that the part that the piston was in was new but the part that expanded was not and had to be cleaned. I managed to do a fine job using a dremel w/wire brush attachment. Almost came out looking like new. Next time I'll follow your lead and use some paint. I like the extra touch it gives them. How's these for two-tone Frankie? I did these last Feb whilst wife was in Florida.

I did ours Summer 2012 and still looking clean now. Not as shiny discs anyway. These were the Pagid discs and Pads.

Before

After

They look very like a type we use at work and they have a bright matt silver finish that lasts quite well. Mine were over a year old when I got around to painting them.

All look good! I'm thinking about painting my callipers - what would "correct" colour be? - or were thay just the "milled" finish?

Richieroo

Well Ritchie...the correct colour is really whatever you want. My 2-tone was just something I thought would work and as Frankie said you could see them " on a car stopped for a light across the street" which in US terms is quite a long way away. I think mine look really good, but as usual it's down to personal preference.
