don,t know what its called but the black trim surrounding the front window screen is well perished
just wanted to know
1 can it be replace if so
2 as any one got 1 for sale
3 how do you remove it

dont know how they are held on but i do know you can buy a chrome one.
 
Its just black tape, you can remove it and the windscreen frame underneath will be the same colour as your car.

Mild heat would probably be the answer?
 
Its just black tape, you can remove it and the windscreen frame underneath will be the same colour as your car.
As Mike says, remove it and enjoy the body colour BMW kindly left underneath it!

all done removed the tape & a nice shiny black appeared as for the glue left on the frame
the Wife,s talons worked a treat

Have you any photos of the work you did to the frame?
 
the tape just came off quite easy with most of the glue
then used a plastic door card remover to remove the rest of the glue
along with some sealant remover did the trick

Don't you like the chrome @DavidM I like it against the blue on mine, however mine is scratched and it drives me mad, I was considering getting it dipped.

Yes I do, and mine is scratched too. My car has black theme, in the main.

You'll probably find a complete new set of chrome is as cheap as replating. I think they are about £150.
