Frosty boot lock

A few times recently my boot lock has been frozen and I’ve not been able to press it in to open. What’s the best lubricant or product to treat it with to prevent this?

Brrrr. Looks cold outside. Best solution is to phone in sick and stay in bed.

Good suggestion, but I don’t use my Z to drive to work. I get annoyed if I can’t go out for a breakfast run on a cold weekend morning!

Gave it a good soaking with silicone spray with the boot up. Hopefully that should do it. Last time it got stuck a few weeks ago I freed it up with WD40, but something made me think twice when it happened again this morning.
 
Did you spray the push button itself?

Nice retort... I was going to suggest, salty water. But realised you guys in the mother country might be a bit sensitive about that.... :whistle:. Got my coat and leaving now... :)
 
Got me again, because no dont. Although Ive been considering a rain coat with some sort of snorkel, because its 30 something outside, 99% humuggity , and pouring with rain...:). Gotta love the tropics....

This is the roundabout at the entrance to our suburb... the guy on ski is speeding, the sign clearly says 40kph...
