Gear and diff oil help

I used Castrol syntrax and syntrans on mine. Available from Opie Oils.

Should it be changed? Mine never has diff or gearbox according to service bills.
Still think I need to see if my electrical drain prob can be sorted before thinking of anything else.

My cars shifting quality improved with the gear oil changed, I also changed the differential oil and the result was reduced gear wine, so for me the answer is yes. Oil gets old and always benefits from a refreshing oil change.

Ah maybe if I got it still next year might be something to look into more garage visits. :p:D
No problems with gears or whines mileage now 77 k.
Had regular engine oil changes.
Thank you .
Tracy.

I used Amsoil fully synthetic gearbox oil on the recommendation of our US
friends on Bemmerforums about two years ago, it improved the gearbox no end. I tried to get some to do a change for a friend but couldn't find it anymore. Castrol Syntrans in the diff as mentioned.

This is what I use:

Small case diff- Redline 75W90.
Getrag 220 manual box- Redline D4-ATF (yes that's auto transmission fluid in a manual box, but it matches the spec for the yellow label MFT-LT-1 lubrication applications)

I like the results in both cases.
