Very limited places available for this run leaving Oswestry on Wednesday 12th September 2018. The exact route will be worked out on the move but is likely to include Bala and The Ponderosa running back down The Horseshoe Pass through Llangollen, covering probably 120 miles. A max of 5 cars including me so four spaces available. I tested for interest on the general forum and was inundated with one show of interest! =))
It will be a run for distinguished gentlemen of means run in midweek to avoid the common working class who clutter up these scenic routes at the weekend so refined behaviour whilst at rest and when operating your motor carriage is expected at all times.
Entry will be free of charge but you must supply your own footman. (Or footlady).

Not that I’d be getting up at the crack of dawn to get there. ;)
 
Hello Gail, lady drivers are most welcome but unfortunately they seem reluctant to get out of bed much before lunchtime but if you would like to prove me wrong consider yourself vetted and approved for this run. :pompus:

Haha - not a chance. After 35 years of getting up at stupid o’clock, times before 10am now no longer exist. No need to reserve a place :whistle:
 
I will think about doing a headlight run sometime for the late risers.

I was going to say we can’t go because we have no dog sitter but that would only be partly true. :whistle:
 
Better be quick if you want to come along. Only 4 spaces left and I think Gail and Redline are pretty keen for one of them. :pompus:
 
It’s a great drive round there. Some nice tracks when you get off the main roads.
 
Please consider my inclusion even though I don’t fit the criteria except maybe the leisure bit I’m quite good at that .Sarah might come along and drive

The panel have considered your application and based on your posts on this forum have decided that you are not only a gentleman but also an extremely talented one. You have been accepted for the run with distinction and your good lady is most welcome too if she decides to come along. My wife has a shift down the slate mines that day but I might bring my dog along for company.
 
You better be quick if you want to come, only 3 places left and they are going like hot cakes.

Sorry to disappoint everyone (Hugh), but due to medical reasons the Gentlemen of Leisure Run is postponed until further notice.
 
Top marks to Alan Slade who suggested that it sounded like sciatica when I was whingeing about it at Tony’s cruise. Seems he was right. Bloody painful and another reminder that bits of me are wearing out. :(
