Found Heated Seat Plugs - Prefacelift

The connectors were made especially for BMW and made by Molex who were not allowed to sell or give out samples under an agreement with BMW ( I know as I was an Electronics Purchasing Manager and tried several of my old suppliers to find me some)
but now you might find an alternative from JST, Samtec or Amp
You would have to buy the housing and the crimps separately .
I will try to find the info on the old Molex numbers which may help.

I obviously have the option to use pairs of non-standard 4 pin plugs (which I’ve sourced already) but I really would like to keep it “standard” BMW if I can.
Mazza- are you suggesting the JST etc plugs will be a direct fit to the original Molex?
(The plugs Ive already bought off Ebay looked similar but turned out to be quite a lot smaller in reality
. I can use them but it means chopping off the car loom plug as well, which I really want to avoid.

There may be a JST or AMP equivalent ( form, fit and function )but you will need the mating half housing and the 4 male crimps.

If you could find the housing reference that will now suffice - I have found 8 male pins in a donor Z4 that I could/will use: so I only require 2 male housing plugs now.
Problem solved

I found a Z4 with 8+ male crimps:
then surprisingly I found my original (non-heated seats) have an empty heated seat male case piggy-backed on the seat adjust plug.
So all I have to do is feed crimp the Z4 pins into this plug and and it’s job done - Original Molex plugs retained!
