Help.....can anyone please tell me where I can get replacement brake lines from. I need two

New Member sorry......I need to replace for the MOT the two rigid brake lines to the flexible calliper pipe......for the rear brakes. I have searched the internet to see where I can purchase them.....but am only getting the flexible pipes coming up.

How desperate are you for them Freya? I could make you those two little pipes and post them to you quite easily. I'm assuming that you are in the UK. I'm near Lincoln.

Got mine from BMW and they are just 2 straight pipes which have to be bent to shape £29 with car club discount so if Tony can make these up for you they will be way cheaper.

If you are going to fit them yourself it is an ideal time to change the brake fluid BM recommend every 2 years if not ask your local friendly garage to change them.

Hi Freya,

Take Tony up on his offer (i will when the need comes if offer extended ;) ) otherwise the only options you have available is to buy from BMW and get fitted b=y a garage, get a garage to make and fit them, or use someone like "Brake Pipes 2 Go" online, and hope they are ok or but the pipe,unions and flaring tool and do them yourself.

Tony' offer is by far the simplest if you can fit yourself.

ps. When I sorn my car at the end of this month the money I get back is going towards a set of Stainless flexibles.
 
Yes, i am buying the stainless flexibles this winter, lets pool resources to find the best value mate

Thank you very much for your kind offer, I live in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.....no Essex girl jokes please :-) assuming that I have described the correct rigid brake lines.....how much would that cost please, including postage. Just to clarify, the two rigid pipes are for the rear brakes and they are between two flexible pipes.....one end being the calliper and sorry don't know what you would call the other end, but they are clipped to I think what you would call a swing arm. I am in no desperate rush for them, my friend is only available at the weekend to work on my car.

Hi Freya, gorgeous car, mine is Oxford Green with the same interior. I measured these pipes on my car last Saturday and they are 36" long. I think I can make and post them to you for £12 if that's ok? Only thing is, it may have to be after this weekend as our son is getting married on Saturday so we are quite busy.

I am not sure if I posted my message in the correct place and am not sure if you have seen it......but I have been able to rearrange for my friend to do the work on my car after this weekend.....so yes please, could you kindly make those rigid brake pipes up for me....I can send payment via PayPal ??? Could you please let me know if that is still ok and just approximately when I could receive them.
