High Level Brake Lights

I know that high level brake lights are a weakness and mine needs replacing (on a 1997 M44). Just before I go down the obvious BMW official route does anyone know of anything a little different available after market? LEDs for example? I think I'd' like to keep the light casing red but if anyone's done anything different and got photos I'd be very appreciative.

Not sure to be honest, but I think @t-tony might have done something with his?

I did Mike but mine is the later type and I sourced a "new" one from Andy @spurs fan in a coupe. He has sold the one from the car he's breaking at the moment @mktommo but he may well have what you're after. Alternatively if you're handy with tools you could cut the old one open and insert a strip of your own led's inside the casing replacing all the old failed internals.

White 3rd break light while breaking turns red. Easy to fit. £50 for collection from a Z3 2002.

Took a while fro me to check but as Tony suggested it won't fit. I appreciate the offer though!

Given they're prone to failure I'll get a new one and make sure its waterproofed properly.

You can fit LED bulbs. look on Ebay with the bulb number.
