I know there are lots of smaller engined cars about but never see 3 litre models. Any idea how many left in uk?

As of 2021 as far as I can find (could be a total load of old tosh TBF)
57 licenced
29 SORN
86 Total

Using the same data for Z3M
30 Licenced
55 SORN
85 Total

Interesting that only the same number as z3M’s

I thought there would be more. How many were originally sold in the uk

It's a very pertinent question and (as I also own one), I'd be very interested in finding out. However, there doesn't seem to be any accurate listings anywhere. Forget "howmanyleft", it's well known as being incredibly inaccurate.

Accurate build numbers for specific variants of z3 extremely difficult to find any proper information ( never mind how many of each said variant left now ) i have 2 individual models and all but nothing about build numbers available 1 of them i have only ever seen 3 others ( 2 are forum members other for sale autotrader ) and the other individual i have never seen another the same .
Unfortunately if there are any accurate numbers that bmw themselves have they just dont want to give it out.

Stephen.

Not sure this data is as reliable as any other tbh .. doesn't include UK or US cars either

Does say there is only 1 Sienna Red Sport Edition  ... which means there is definitely at least 2 if you count mine

They’ll be one less soon if this rear end rebuild goes much higher in cost🤷‍♂️

European spec 3.0 roadsters 6,877. U.S spec 11,303. No breakdown rhd vs lhd.

Source BMW Z3 and Z4 The complete story.

Didn't even know there was a European spec and a US spec 3.0s..does the book say what the difference was?

No does not but probably emissions and cats in the exhaust manifolds in the U.S versions which the euro versions did not have.

Possibly something to do with sticking the steering wheel on the 'wrong' side and having weird headlights ?
