Am also wanting add a induction kit. As am in a 1.9 and it's a bit low on power so any advise on purchasing and fitting would be great.
Thanks and am really looking forward to reading some off the progression posts in here

It looks like the connection for the smog pump motor which I've removed from my car ( a 2.0 6 cyl) but in the 1st picture that looks like the top of one next to the strut top. Fitted for US market, not required here. If it's like mine the pump motor will have got noisy and been disconnected.

Tony.

Ok thanks so nothing to worry about then. I don't know much mechanically and zelda does feel like she's past her prime but I plan to show her different [emoji108]
Thanks for the welcome to [emoji106]

hi to the last don, or is it( how you doing) If you fit a cone induction kit from K+N they are fab,i did it with my 1.9 when i had it and also had it chipped and put a longlife stainless steel exhaust on it,,, absolutly fabulous it was.. and quicker...

I think this is going to be the plan, but first I have error codes on the knock sensors. Going to replace them first then if that's ok straight for the k&n. I put one on my e46 was impressed with the extra milage I was getting. [emoji108]. (Ohhh how you doing) I look nothing like joey by the way [emoji23]

If you check back @zedonist found that PiperCross perform even better than K&N by a considerable margin!! JIM

Thanks I think I was reading that last night, piper cross demand deeper pockets tho, me to tight for that lol.
So I flipped the lid up yesterday to see how much work was involved. I read in a post somewhere that adding a cone may cause problems with a maf sensor. While I was at it I discovered this.

Just to the left of the dip stick the split hose comin from the air box. Am guessing this is playing a part in the lack of power could have his be the reason for the knock sensor codes?
