Event Impromptu Lakes Tour. Saturday 5th October 2019

Hi @Pingu
https://goo.gl/maps/aeSopp14EFB2

See link for route. Set off at 10am but assembled for 09:30

Over Hardkott then Wrynose :D

I've done the roads around there many times. You will be driving past where I used to work and met Mrs Pingu. You'll also drive past three of the places where I used to live and within 200 yards of another :D. That was 30 years ago :wideyed:.

I've not been to Torver, but used to do the Duddon valley all the time. I'll go a slightly different way from Torver to Birker and meet you at the Woolpack.

It'll be like Hawaii in October mate :D

Count us in pal, 99.9% (snow permitting that is) just have to confirm one more thing, I just can't miss a cruise in the Lakes, Lincolnshire just doesn't cut it, we normally get an Indian summer early October, why do they call it so

Although the exact origins of the termare uncertain, it was perhaps so-called because it was first noted in regions inhabited by Native Americans ("Indians"), or because the NativeAmericans first described it to Europeans, or it had been based on the warm and hazy conditions in autumn when Native Americans hunted.

Apparently

I hope the locals have ear defenders :D . It'll be like the old days when Harrier buzzed the fells :wideyed:.
Average speed circa 22mph less you want to be upside down, on fire with your sump, diff and back box somewhere else =))

Lakes in Oct can be nice we stayed at Haven Lakeland 3 yrs ago for our half term ( mid oct) to see our daughter who was an entertainment team member .
We done the lakes run in the Skoda ( think I done a write up on here) but Lakes in Autumn is nice colours different from the spring time Lakes runs and the summer one andy did in August.

Dead right pal, no point in having a great car sitting in a garage :D
I've seen the build pictures weather not getting near that zeds bare metal for a long time protection from elements for decades longer than you will have it :thumbsup:

Andy obviously done this number of times with you led a few now so I am more than happy to be sweeper . ( done it that many times realised someone had forgotten a left turn on their sat nav route file :whistle::D:D)
And if your run gets too big for its boots group leader. :)
