I've found it on passenger side it had to be different many thanks that was a great help I should have asked the seller when I picked it up got carried away with wanting to get it in and drive

No I don't have that just looked i ll have to take it to a dealer and get them to figure it out but thanks

When i said "left" side i meant the car's left. Not your left. ie the passenger side.

I'm not great with left and rights if I'm in front of car left is driving side if I'm at back left is passenger but I know now how to open it its all getting familiar with it as I've not had 1 for 5 years

Id suggest not, needs to fit the parameters of the roof fixing points, bit i guess of the back of those. Someone could create a fibreglass version...dont why they would like but hey...

I have only ever seen 2 types of z3 hardtop
The standard one and the weismann one

The two different tops use different fitting kit and are not interchangeable.

There was a topic on this forum a couple weeks ago where somebody said he was or could make fitting kits. Maybe he was just putting out feelers to see if there'd be any demand. But might be worth a look.
