Event Lake's Tour July 2021.

Having trouble down loading route on to Tom Tom think the problems with my device.
Will you @andyglym any paper copies of route doesn't matter if not will stick close to the car in front.
Hope Bella gets fixed in time

*Managed to copy list from whey markers*
Good job mate. Zero chance of getting lost on this one unless somebody decides to do their own thing. Touch and go, won't now get delivered to the garage until tomorrow morning :arghh: Bike cleaned and checked and standing by.

...I'm not panicking, however, just went to pull Bella out to wash her, the clutch pedal went straight to the floor :arghh: on investigation there's a pool of oil under the clutch area. AA on the way :arghh:...

Sorry to hear Bella is poorly Andy, hope she's fixed for Saturday. It won't be the same if your not in a Zed. I have personal experience of that last year=)).

Anyway I just popped on to say:

It snowed in Stafford this afternoon...

But it soon cleared up...

All ready now, see you all tomorrow.

This localised snow gets about Dave ;) It's just stuff, at the end of the day she's 24 in September so she's had a great run and I'd rather it went before the Tour than on it. If she's fixed she's fixed, if not, I have my bike on standby

Hope you get her fixed OK Andy, wouldn't be the same without Bella.

Double post, Sorry.

Have a great Lakes tour this weekend everybody and safe journeys. Sorry to see Bella,s not well Andy.

Don't forget face coverings and have the NHS Track and Trace App on your phones

What was wrong with Bella Paul? Have a great day all.

Tony.

Great news Andy, have a great weekend everyone!

First stop of the day, car running fine

Then off to Langdale pass, Wrynose pass then Hardnot pass proper car breakers and so it turned out made my way for a nice lunch and a pint before setting off in one very sick sounding car. Nursed back to the hotel after some roadside assistance from my fantastic fellow Zroadsters now waiting for the recovery guy to come back with a retaining bolt for the rear caliper carrier. Its lost somewhere in Cumbria thankfully not sheared and the threads are good to receive a replacement bolt. So hopefully will have a temporary replacement to get us home tomorrow.

Link for write-up here peeps

@Paul Rice a similar incident happened on the first Scottish run Brian H had organised the run and I was running sweeper at the rear we were way out heading towards Mallaig zed in front of me was making some steadily getting worse noise that I could hear in the car behind him so said to Lynne reckoned he would have to stop and if so we would to to render assistance.
When he stopped we got front wheel off ( where noise from) discovered top caliper carrier missing initial decision was to remove the lower bolt and refit to top and tighten right up to stop caliper tipping onto wheel from forwards braking.
Ended up with a bit of luck after removing the other carrier bolt discovered same thread as a wheel bolt so swapped the proper carrier bolt to top and put a wheel bolt in the lower one that sufficed to keep the zed on the road rest of the weekend.
Hope you get yours sorted 👍

Stephen.
