woulf you guys suggest a 20 or 30mm and if so, what springs?

I think many of the fellow Zedders have gone down the route of Eibach lowering springs. 30mm looks good but I suppose it depends what type of stance you like and what size your wheels are.
Yeah agree with what Andy says, The eibach lowering 30mm springs are perfect and very reasonably price. They make the car look good while still maintaining good ground clearance.
I've just gone 30mm and it looks like this.
I'm really pleased with the result. For me it looks much better than standard with my wheels and handles great if your that way inclined. As said it depends what look you are after.
Mines on Apex springs drop it a little more but rides and drives great

I think 30mm is enough as I want to keep the standard shocks and I'm running 18's. Antm72, I just need a set of those fantastic wheels you have - they look great!
Yep 30mm but I thought you wanted to keep the car stock, if so you could go with BMW sport springs but they are 15mm

That's a good point mate and that was the plan however, the seats are just great and I'm sure I'd struggle to get a set of sports seats in the same condition and at a sensible price! Secondly the 108's look fantastic, I briefly tried the standard 17's and wasn't too impressed so the issue is go to standard regardless or just enjoy the car as is. My feeling is to just enjoy the car as its looks great as it is - I don't feel a pressing urge to lower it to be honest but it could, along with 15mm spacers on the rear and 10mm on the front, really improve the stance of the car.
Just have fun with it pal, and lowering with spacers does greatly enhance the look of a Z3, a lot less tractor like
especially as you already have a great set of wheels

That's looking lovely @Grumpy. Like what you've done with the indicator lens too.
Just putting that list there and see where you at in year....these cars were not complete from the factory in my opinion and BMW made them just so easy to customize. It would be rude not too really!
