Lowering

I've gone 30mm on eibachs and they are great

However I am putting 35mm apex springs on as I want it to be a little lower

I've got the apex springs and I find them too low. Obviously not too low to do something about it like as they're still on ha. It looks fantastic and drives great but speed humps and a big no go, as are any sort of kerb, lowered or not.

You can raise the rear very easily with spring pads. Not sure if anything can be done easily on the fronts.

Just putting that list there and see where you at in year....these cars were not complete from the factory in my opinion and BMW made them just so easy to customize. It would be rude not too really!

I would also like to put a dash with red inserts in too so as to match the seats, just for aesthetic purposes of course.

If you're removing your own dash surely it would make sense to recolour the parts of your own dash Simon, like @Sean d did a while ago.

Tony.

I'm not planning to Tony but if one with red inserts came up I would swap it out. I don't have the skillage or materials to re - colour it I'm afraid.

Do the areas directly in front of the passenger and driver just unbolt then Sean?

Oh no mate, you have to remove the centre console, (you'd be doing the hockey stick anyway), then the entire dash, once out you can then strip the pods off,

The Eibachs are progressive springs, supple in the straights and taught in the twisties . If you click on the link in my signature box below you will find some good info, it is my original progress thread for my old Z3. I bought the car with standard suspension then replaced the springs. Soon after I blew a shock absorber so changed the front and rears for Bilstein. I kept a good record of my experiences so hopefully it could be of use to you.

Thanks mate, I'll look through it.
