Hi all
Can anyone advice on the correct torque setting for the rocker cover bolts on an m43 engine
Many thanks mick

I can get it on Monday for you Mick if that is soon enough. Would need you to PM your reg.no. for the system we have at work.

Cheers, Tony.

I am changing the old cover for one I have had polished it looks quite nice.
Hope it looks good when fitted;-)

Yeah, IKNOW, should've gone to Specsavers. Ha,Ha. It's my ear infection you know.=))

What Jim, of my poorly ear?:)

15nm I would put new gaskets on as they go brittle with age including the bolt washers

I think the bolts have "O" rings, maybe called washers?

There you go Mick, thanks Richard.:)

Polished!! I could cheerfully have cut the Bloody thing off and posted to you over the weekend mate, one of the most painful things I've ever had ( please don't mention childbirth anyone=)))
Anyway back to the Doc's today and on top off anti-biotics, co-codamol painkillers and anti septic spray I've now got some steroids to take.
On top of this no Monkey Shoulder or Sheep Dip either so a very dry week or two. Plus I'm banned from top down motoring till its better. I wouldn't want this on a plane ride Jim.

Cheers, Tony.

Sounds painful alright! Watch those steroids, they cause your testicles to shrivel up and die!! JIM
