MOT today

Sent the car for a new accelerator cable today as the old one was sticky and generally just a bit hard to push. Light as a feather now!

I thought I'd ask them to do an MOT as well as I am sick of worrying about it and would rather get it over and done with.

BUT.

Went straight through the MOT with only a small issue with the emissions, the car wasn't warmed up so they took it round the block and presto, PASS.

I am so happy about it.

Just thought I'd share :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Good news mate. Was the Co reading up on the emissions? That's the problem I have.

I'm pleased for you Connor,1 less thing to worry about. Hope you're enjoying that silky smooth 6 cylinder motor ;). You mentioned in another thread about a noise when changing gear,mine does it a bit as well but its not so noticeable when the weather's warmer as strange as it sounds,it doesn't bother me now tbh. Wonder if it's the same on most 2.8's.

Mine clonks on the diff when I change gear or pull off when it's cold. Stops once warmed up. Changed the diff oil last service but didn't improve it so I just live with it.

I did the same thing,no improvement :confused:. Slightly off topic but did you get the exhaust on your zed sorted Dave ?

:offtopic: No I was looking at buying Connors but my local indie said run it in to him and he reckoned he could turn a few screws and get it low enough which he didn't! He just got it really hot and it passed! :offtopic:!

Just shows you,get some one that knows what they're doing.....saves you spending needlessly. Sorry Connor :whistle:.

Mine is worst when driving it slowly, changing early, basically economy driving. So it turns out that the car doesn't like driving slowly... Fine with me!.

Yes the CO failed, got it through in the end so that's what counts.

I like the exhaust note now, i just drive a bit faster and then I really like the sound. I can now start improving the car, as opposed to fixing it.
