NEW KEY

BMW Are obviously the easiest although likely to make the eyes water a little. I'm sure there have been a few threads on this recently, I'll try and find them later unless someone beats me too it!

BMW dealer remember to take photos I'D and a Utility bill don't forget the cars log book to.
From memory my new key cost me £150
Took about a week to receive and then you will need to program the new and old key to the car one after another

I've found the invoice
B51.21.8.374.065 111695/Key £117.19
B66.12.8.377.839 111694/Cover £3.42
Plus VAT
These parts may not be the same for your car

You can buy off ebayUK but will need to find a locksmith with the programmer. I only have one key and have found someone to program the chip. The key is only $35 but no price on programming it. I've bought a chipped plastic wallet key I'll get him to program and cut it and see how it works out. He charges BMW $450cdn which I think is a ridiculous price to pay for a key! JIM

For that price I would pay a bit more and buy from BMW
