Hope everyone is having a good Easter!!

So I've been looking at OEM wheels for a while now, I really like the ellipsoid style but I want to do something different while keeping the fitment within specification( i.e. no bigger that 17 inch, wider that 8.5 inch and with an offset no smaller than round 35-40) . Styling 56 is one of my options (comparison with my stock wheels below). They come off X5s however:

- the offset is within the acceptable range for a Z3
- they are lighter surprisingly
- I'm sure they'll take 225/45 tyres for front and maybe 235/45 for the back
- however, not really sure about bolt diameter

Has anyone tried fitting something similar? What do you guys this think in terms of overall appearance/fitment?

I guess it's all down to personal preference. They wouldn't be my first choice however reducing the unsprung weight os always a bonus.

Here's a useful site if you haven't seen it already, all BMW style wheels in one place along with all specs they came in http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/

I'm pretty sure that they are 5x120 stud pattern as the Z4 lot have been known to run X5 rims. Granted those tend to be the 19" ones, but same stud pattern nonetheless as shared with the Z3!

I'm not convinced personally with the fussy look of these, but the ellipsoids work well so perhaps these will too.

Not for me Alin, but that's a personal choice only. It's your car, if you like them go for it.:)

Mixed feelings on these. Think I'd need to see them on a couple of different coloured cars and lower profile tyres than in the pic. First impressions is a no, but what they do have going for them is uniqueness. I don't think I've ever seen a Z with these on.

Initially I think 'he'll no' but looking at and trying to visualize low profiles on an appropriately lowered Z and could be interesting and definitely unique!
Give it a go, those wheels must be pretty cheap (if you can find any as not seen many X5 with those on in UK). More prevalent in Europe though.

It would definitely be an interesting choice. Has anyone tried Style 106 or style 107. Are there any problems with fitting 18 inch wheels?

So long as the rolling diameter is the same any wheels will fit, I've got some 18" style 32s to go on although some would argue 17" is about right for ideal handling. I have some style 24s in 17" previously and they did handle really well plus they were light

wow, style 107 really does look great. Is that with stock suspension?

I think style 106 would suit the car quite well too , but I haven't seen a Z3 with them on yet :(
