One pipe good, two pipes better - discuss! Hey guys I have a blowing exhaust on my 1.9l '99 Z3 and i'm thinking of upgrading the OEM exhaust but I want to keep the original look (ie one single rounded pipe) but don't mind a two pipe back box as these were OEM on the six cylinders - but not correct on my particular model. so my question is can anyone recommend a fruity single pipe exhaust that has the original OEM look but a sportier sound - *or* a two pipe back box alternative - thanks

TBH they don't sound particularly 'fruity' or loud, as there is a rear silencer fitted. Yes it is a Z3.

Does look awesome - I used to have a 3.0 Z3 and I have to say the standard OEM two pipe exhaust was lovely, now different engine/ tone etc but if I could anywhere near that base rumble I would be happy to go not OEM single pipe for a bit more proper tone

I have a stainless steel system on my 1.9 which was on it when I bought the car 9 years ago …. Makes a great sound …. And louder than the 2.8 ( which has two pipes … but one of them has a vacuum valve in it)

Had a handmade SS cat back and added the twin pipes as remined me of an ANSA system I had on my Astra GTE when I was young. The sound of the system is awesome, well for me anyway, as my SO hates it. Mine is a 1.9 also
